The sunflower puts itself directly in position to receive the sun’s gaze. Heliotropism, explained by circadian rhythm, behaves for the sunflower like an internal clock aligning with the rise and fall of our sun. Scientists did an experiment and found that young sunflowers, when forced to face away from the sun, grew slower, smaller, and - not surprisingly - were colder in temperature. The sunflowers that were allowed to grow facing east, towards the sun - towards their natural instinct - grew taller, stronger, and warmer. So warm they attracted more bees, which pollinate and create more life. I think this is how we are supposed to live.
